Wells Fargo Promotes Direct Deposit in Financial Literacy PresentationsWells Fargo's Hands on Banking® financial literacy presentations deliver the basics of banking to thousands of Americans each year. Recently Wells Fargo added Go Direct information to its presentation to guide bankers through a discussion of the advantages of direct deposit for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. In addition to outlining the benefits of direct deposit, the Go Direct slide in Wells Fargo's presentations includes the Go Direct toll-free sign up number and Web site. “Direct deposit is faster, safer and the most convenient way to receive your income,” said Karen Moore, Senior Vice President, Wells Fargo. “By including this slide, we hope that we can get more people to understand the benefits of using direct deposit.” If you're interested in including information about direct deposit into your bank or credit union's existing financial literacy presentation, click here to find details about Go Direct's financial literacy program.
