Baby Boomers Count Down to Retirement

Go Direct just announced the results of a national survey, which coincides with a yearlong "Countdown to Retirement" pledge drive to encourage baby boomers preparing to head into retirement to choose direct deposit once they start collecting Social Security benefits. The survey, sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and Federal Reserve Banks on behalf of Go Direct, showed that while baby boomers tend to be more financially savvy than current retirees, a significant number of baby boomers have yet to start using direct deposit, even though it is safer and easier than paper checks.
